WRTA to Add 6 Routes In Warren in March
YOUNGSTOWN – For the Western Reserve Transit Authority, 2019 was a year of growth and innovation. It began with a new executive director, Dean Harris, who previously was with the Metro Regional Transit Authority of Akron.
To encourage more residents to try WRTA services, the agency offered several opportunities in 2019 to ride any bus for free. These included Ohio Loves Transit Day on Valentine’s Day and Free 4 All Fridays in June, July and August.
In March, WRTA will begin providing bus service weekdays in the greater Warren area with six routes that will reach major retail centers and medical centers.
WRTA provides more than 1.5 million rides annually, an average of 6,000 weekday rides.
