YBI Hosts Two Learning Labs in July
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Business Incubator is holding two learning labs this month on “3D Printing 101” and “Crafting Your Pitch.”
3D Printing 101 will be at 5:30 p.m. July 26 and is an introductory course to the world of advanced manufacturing (AM) methods commonly referred to as 3D printing. This is your opportunity to learn what it is and how it can benefit your business.
The course covers the basics of AM, get a brief overview of the different levels of AM, learn about the types of materials you can print with, learn why you or your business would want to use AM over traditional manufacturing methods, and get a tour America Makes and YBI’s AM facility.
This entry-level class is perfect for anyone who has a general interest in AM, first or second year engineering students, people with knowledge of traditional manufacturing, and anyone who wants to know the future of manufacturing with the incorporation of AM.
This class will be taught by YBI’s AM program manager, Ashley Martof.
Tickets are $10. Click here to register.
Crafting Your Pitch will be held 8:30 a.m. July 31 and will be presented by YBI’s entrepreneur in residence, Gene Groys, who is a tech entrepreneur himself, having started multiple health tech companies with successful exits.
The lab will be on what it takes to pitch your product or service to an investor. Capital is important if you’re looking to grow, and this learning lab will teach you how to do it effectively and successfully.
