YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Area Jewish Federation is the umbrella organization for Senior Living by Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, the Jewish Community Relations Council, and Jewish Family and Community Services.

It plays an instrumental role in providing for the social welfare, cultural, programmatic, recreational, and fundraising needs of the region. The federation employs 250 to 300 full time, part time, and seasonal workers.

We’re an organization that offers so much to our community. We are a small Jewish community, yet we offer more than any other Jewish community of our size in North America, and more even than some communities two or three times bigger. Our employees have access to a variety of benefits, services, and perks. We offer a very generous PTO policy as well as excellent healthcare and retirement match.

From left in back are: Marom Shmueli, community shaliach (emissary); Corina DeAnda, early childhood and youth administrative assistant; Hunter Thomas, former JCC early childhood and youth director; Denise Wolf, JCC executive director; Stacie Young, facility and hospitality assistant; and Marco DiTomasso, JCC head lifeguard. From left in front are: Rebecca Soldan, JCC assistant executive director; Ashley Blankenship, JCC maintenance administrator; and Taylor Lody, Federation media designer.

Employees can take advantage of our community center which offers state of the art equipment, fitness classes, health clubs, massage beds, an indoor pool, an outdoor walking trail, pickleball courts, a pavilion, and the Logan campus that includes an outdoor pool and more.

We also offer discounts on day care, a variety of programs, summer camp, and more. Through our Jewish Family and Community Services employees have access to a wide variety of social services including counseling and support services.

The various agencies, and their staff, work together to provide for our community and each other. It’s a family friendly environment where everyone is respected.
