Youngstown Works to Host Hiring Event Oct. 4

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Works will host a hiring event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Jobseekers can attend the event at no cost, and are encouraged to bring copies of their resume or work history as they meet with employers who are ready to hire. Workforce training and career coaching agencies will also be available.

Youngstown Works is a consortium of nonprofit agencies assisting the city of Youngstown and Mahoning County that serve various constituencies and have a commitment to job development and employment as a necessary function, according to a news release announcing the event. Its members are committed to inclusion and integrity while providing assistance to those in need of self-sustaining and family-sustaining wages.

Jobseekers can RSVP for the event here. Employers who would like to participate are required to register in advance here.

Employers already committed to attend include Brilex Industries, Vallourec, Mercy Health, Belmont Pines Hospital, AML Industries, Windsor House, TTM Technologies, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Laurel Technical Institute, Howmet Aerospace and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.
