YSU Athlete Competes at NCAA Championships Tonight

EUGENE, Oregon — Youngstown State senior Collin Harden is heading back to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field for the second time in three years, competing in the 400-meter hurdles.

The 2020 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Harden finished 22nd in the 2019 nationals.

Wednesday night he is competing at 10 p.m. eastern time. The event will be televised on ESPN2.

Harden runs in the final of three heats during preliminary competition. The top two in each of the three heats and the next three fastest times advance to Friday’s championship at 9:27 p.m., eastern time. Results of the NCAA events will be posted HERE.

The 2016 Girard High School graduate clocked his personal-best time of 50.21 seconds to qualify for this year’s nationals at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Florida.
