YSU Foundation Raises Awareness Through Marketing

YOUNGSTOWN – The Youngstown State University Foundation last year expanded social media and marketing initiatives so it can help more students attend YSU.

The foundation was established in 1966, but like all such organizations, it must continuously let the public know what it is and what it does, says Paul McFadden, president.

The foundation’s social media channels saw an increase in followers and engagement last year. Its Facebook page followers grew by 23% since June and its influence also expanded on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn.

During the past year, the foundation added a senior accounting manager and a development associate.
