YSU to Host Spring STEM Expo, Engineering Forum

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown State University Spring 2022 STEM Expo will be held Feb. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. with both virtual and in-person activities.

The live event, featuring more than 50 employers, will be held in Stambaugh Stadium. Registration is not required.

The virtual event, with around 10 employers, will take place inside the DeBartolo Stadium Club at Stambaugh Stadium. Registration is required for the virtual event.

The expo is part of National Engineers Week, which runs Feb. 21-25 on the YSU campus.

On Wednesday, Feb. 23 a forum featuring practicing engineers from Ultium Cells, Novelis, Gardiner, MS Consultants and Altronic will be held in the Jones Room of Kilcawley Center.

Engineers will answer questions about internships and co-ops beginning at 11 a.m.

The week also includes daily competitions from 1 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of Moser Hall on campus.

Competitions include:

  • Duct Tape a Friend
  • Retaining Wall
  • Drone Race
  • Loadmaster Simulation
  • Paper Airplace
