Nominate an ‘Unsung Hero’ of Small Business

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Giving your favorite small business a little extra recognition is as easy as clicking your mouse.

Throughout the month of May, The Business Journal is recognizing regional small businesses with the Rally Around Small Business campaign. The idea is to give the customers and employees of these companies an opportunity to sound off about what makes them great.

To nominate a small business, go to BusinessJournalDaily.com/rally-around-small-business and fill out the form. Be sure to include the business’ name, city and a brief description about why your nominee should be considered as an “unsung hero” of small business.

Nominations are open now through the month of May, after which an internal selection committee will choose three small businesses that are going above and beyond to help fuel our region’s economic engine. Small businesses should have fewer than 500 employees and:

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Offer cool, unique products or experiences.
• Go above and beyond to treat their employees well.
• Play an active role in the community.

Visitors to The Business Journal’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages can give their nominee an extra plug by sharing a picture taken at the business or with a product to a post pinned to the top of each profile page. Just add the picture to the comments section of the post.

All nominations will be featured on The Business Journal’s website and some will be profiled in the pages of the print edition.
