Applications Open for Program to Assist Minority, Women Entrepreneurs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Minority and women entrepreneurs can apply for the Minority Business Assistance Center’s new four-week state-certification accelerator program.

State certification gives existing and growth-stage business owners – who have owned and operated their business for a minimum of one year – access to contracting opportunities and capital.

The MBAC Certification program will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., each Tuesday in August at the Youngstown Business Incubator. It will include a weekly hands-on workshop leading up to the certification process.

The program will go through the certification checklist and benefits, help entrepreneurs learn about important financial documents and review their information.

At the end of the four weeks, entrepreneurs will create an Ohio Business Gateway account and submit their certification application to the state.

Applications, due by July 19, are available HERE.
