YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The mission of Direction Home of Eastern Ohio (DHEO) is to work with people, communities, and organizations to plan, prepare and care for aging and disability through education, advocacy, and implementation of services.
Employees at DHEO share common values in our CARES Model.
C – Communication – We value Employees who practice open, honest, complete, and consistent communication with all parties.
A – Accountability – We value employees who are positive, respectful, honest, and live up to commitments of all parties.
R – Respect – We value employees who are professional, courteous, kind, understand differences and celebrate diversity.
E – Efficiency – We value employees who use their time and resources wisely.
S – Safety – We value employees who practice safe behaviors in everything they do.
DHEO offers competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, free CEU opportunities to maintain licensure and sign-on and retention bonuses. At Direction Home, we are family friendly, offering working hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and vacation and sick leave is awarded immediately upon hire.
Those hired on Jan. 1 of the year receive 15 vacation days and 10 sick days. This is prorated based on the month the individual is hired in a year. Employee sick and vacation does not need to be used prior to the end of the year and can accumulate. Employees enjoy nine paid holidays each year.
Flexible working arrangements are available. DHEO strives to focus on the individual and works to support the individual rather than discerning them as an employee.
Direction Home of Eastern Ohio provides benefits to support employees and help ease any employee concerns. Insurance benefits begin the first month after hire. DHEO offers full dental insurance, EAP, and long-term disability that is 100% employer paid, at no cost to the employee.
DHEO’s employee wellness program allows employees to earn points or wellness credits that can be used to lower their medical out-of-pocket expenses with a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). Employees on the medical plan and their covered dependents will have 24/7/365 access to doctors that can diagnose and treat common illnesses over the phone through our First Stop Health Program. There are no fees or copays to use this telemedicine benefit. There is no set up or pre-registration necessary.
At Direction Home we believe we are a Great Place to Work and are always eager to have individuals join our team. Those who share our common purpose of helping to provide choices for people to live independently in the place they want to call home should apply at www.dheo.org.
