Café Rosé Specialty Coffee and Gift Shop Opening in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Café Rosé, a new specialty coffee and gift shop at 4491 Mahoning Ave., will open its doors to customers at noon Saturday.

The shop will sell coffee from regional roasters and bottled beverages, and will feature crafts and other items from local entrepreneurs.

Café Rosé has partnered with Bent Tree Coffee Roasters of Kent, Branch Street Coffee Roasters of Boardman, LiB’s Market of Salem, Marlowe’s Premium Coffee of Canfield, Phoenix Coffee Co. of Cleveland, Stauf’s Coffee Roasters of Columbus and Voyager Specialty Coffee & Teas of Youngstown.

Co-owners Amanda Evans and Leah Sakacs plan to eventually add local wines to their shelves and sell glasses of wine and cups of coffee for consumption at the shop.

Evans and Sakacs started planning their business in 2020, inspired by stops at coffee shops and wineries during their travels. They say they were slowed down by difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The journey to opening our doors has been a roller coaster. These past six months have challenged us in new and exciting ways – oftentimes requiring us to pivot our plans to adapt to new information and circumstances,” Evans said. “Thankfully, we have had an amazing support team of family, friends and mentors to guide our way.”

Café Rosé will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
