Great Co-Workers: Patty Summers

Based on her longtime experience working with homeless veterans in the area and other homeless individuals, Patty Summers saw the need for a group that actively serves the needs of homeless individuals, especially during winter.

Her service, compassion and commitment are increasingly essential and impressive, particularly since the number of homeless individuals continues to increase annually. Patty has made a tremendous, positive, encouraging and empowering difference in the lives of homeless individuals and others.

In addition, Patty is a great individual with whom to work. Just as everyone who “works for Youngstown Blue Coats, Patty is an unpaid volunteer. She leads her team of volunteers with expertise, enthusiasm, dedication, inspiration and compassion. She has a wonderful sense of humor and has the ability to bring out the best in others. She is a motivational leader and co-worker. It is truly a pleasure and privilege to work with her.
