Meijer Begins Hiring for Boardman Store
BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Meijer Supercenter store in Boardman, slated to open next year, has begun hiring for seven positions.
The listings on the company’s website lists seven jobs descriptions: cake decorator, cashier, gas station clerk, greeter, meat cutter, pricing/inventory coordinator and receiving clerk.
In July 2018, representatives of the company said the store would employ about 250. Those interested in the positions can apply HERE.
Exterior work on the building at the corner of U.S. Route 224 and Tippecanoe Road is almost completed. The retail chain plans on opening the store next year, but has not announced an official opening date.
Meijer Supercenter offers a full-service grocery store with produce, a fish market, butcher shop and bakery, as well as home goods and clothing.
The Boardman store would be Meijer’s first in the area, with other sites planned in Austintown, on Mahoning Avenue, and Niles, in the former Super Kmart. Work has not begun on either of those sites.
Based in Grand Rapids, Mich., Meijer has 246 stores nationwide.
