Golf Stories: It Pays to Be Lucky

One of Frank Pagnatta’s longest-tenured employees proved his worth on the golf course. Shortly after being hired, Pagnatta took him to a local course and a few holes in, he teed off a line drive on a 130-yard par 3.

“I thought certainly this shot would be at least 30 yards over the green,” says the vice president of Sedgwick Managed Care Ohio. “Suddenly, the ball hits the flag stick and falls right into the hole”

That employee has been with Sedgwick for nearly two decades.

“I figure I need to keep lucky people close,” Pagnatta says with a laugh.
