Cory Pagliarini’s passion for golf started in 1997. That year, Tiger Woods won the Masters Tournament, his first major championship. He finished 18-under par, set the tournament record for largest margin of victory and became the youngest player to win the iconic tournament.
“At that time, I was a young junior golfer and it was amazing to watch Tiger absolutely dismantle the best players in the world at such a young age,” says Pagliarini. “If nothing else, it increased my love for the game tenfold.”
Today, Pagliarini is the general manager at Trumbull Country Club in Warren, which saw an uptick in play over the past year.
“We have noticed a significant increase in our number of rounds as well as our membership total,” he says. “Being ‘forced’ to be outside has allowed people to fall in love with the game again or for the first time. I expect this season to be better yet and our team looks forward to providing the best possible golf and club experience that we can to members, both new and tenured.”
