YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – With greater demand for its products and services, Fyda Freightliner Youngstown experienced tremendous growth in all three phases of the dealership in 2022. Fyda added ProFleet heavy duty truck parts, an aftermarket supplier that allows the Austintown dealership to serve more than just Freightliner customers.
Fyda Youngstown also added five employees last year and now has 75, says Scott Williamson, sales manager. Its biggest challenge for 2023 will be navigating supply chain deficiencies, which have been improving, he notes.
For the convenience of all its customers, Fyda Freightliner Columbus opened a 180,000-square-foot facility that combines all five of the previous Columbus locations into one. The building has 3,500 solar panels on the roof that produce more electricity than the dealership needs. It feeds the excess amount into the grid.
In addition to Youngstown and Columbus, Fyda operates dealerships in Zanesville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Barkeyville, Pa.; and Walton, Ky.
