Greenwood Chevrolet Steers Toward EV Future

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Since 2020, the automotive industry has witnessed unprecedented volatility as global production and supply issues impacted sales.

For Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown, navigating those challenges and adapting to the needs of its customers put the dealership back on top. In 2022, Greenwood Chevrolet ranked No. 1 in sales among dealers in the Mahoning Valley with more than 2,470 total vehicles sold.

“I’m so proud of our team and the way they’ve handled themselves and represented our dealership over the last few years,” says Greg Greenwood, owner/operator. “It hasn’t been easy. But we’ve found a way to get our customers into the vehicles they’re looking for with the financing they need.”

Throughout this period, Greenwood remained dedicated to the community. Last year saw the 12th annual Extra Mile Giveaway in which Greenwood Chevrolet offered a new Chevrolet Trailblazer or $15,000 to one lucky winner who donated to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley or the United Way of Trumbull County.

Greenwood Chevrolet also launched a new platform dedicated to online sales of used vehicles, which allows customers to buy online without visiting the dealership. Online sales specialists work directly with customers to streamline the buying process, including delivery of the vehicle.

As the industry transitions to electric vehicles, the dealership is dedicated to becoming the home of Chevrolet EVs in the Mahoning Valley with a team trained and dedicated to EV sales, set-up and service.

“Twenty years ago, it was almost unthinkable that people would walk around with a small computer in their pocket every day. But that’s how the cellphone has evolved and the future of EVs will be the same,” Greenwood says. “The technology has already advanced EVs from the capability of 50 miles to now over 200 before a charge is needed. We know this will continue to grow,  making an EV a viable option for so many customers.”
