HERMITAGE, Pa. — This month marks the 40th anniversary of Satin Sound Systems. The company, founded in 1983 by John M. Durisko, provides professional sound systems, backline, lighting, staging and video projection services locally and nationwide. It has six full-time employees and an expanding network of engineers and technicians on call.
With the purchase of new equipment in 2022, Satin Sound Systems grew and evolved as an event production company, according to Durisko. When the industry opened up from the pandemic, the calendar quickly filled up with concerts, meetings and installations.
Demand exceeded expectations, he says. Events ranged from a few dozen people to crowds of 20,000 or more. This led to a busy year that improved revenue growth for the company.
This year, Satin Sound Systems plans to invest in more new equipment, Durisko says. Investments in employee training are in the works and more staff will be hired to meet the increasing workload.
