COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Although STG Communications enjoyed significant growth in 2022, company leaders say they are most proud of the opportunities they provided their team.
“Our focus is to help our team grow and achieve their goals,” says Vice President Jimi Moore. “That is our No. 1 priority. And we are happy to say our revenue has grown consistently as well.”
The Columbiana-based contractor provides maintenance and installation services for major carriers and tower owners in the telecommunications industry. STG experienced a 50% increase in projects compared to 2022, and in August was named as one of Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies.
To support continued growth and prepare for a busy 2023, STG added 57 team members, including field technicians, project support and an expanded human resources team. Several team members were promoted and others shifted into specialist roles according to their specific talents.
STG also added life-coaching services at no cost to help employees reach their personal and professional goals.
“STG’s purpose is to improve lives,” President Chris Jaskiewicz says. “In this case, we want to improve the lives of our team members by giving them the resources they need to succeed.”
The company plans to offer additional perks to employees in the coming months, including personal finance coaching and more paid training, he says.
As the number of projects and employees expands, Jaskiewicz says additional space has become a necessity. In November, STG broke ground to construct a building next to its site at 1401 Wardingley Ave. Completion is set for April.
This June, in partnership with Tri-County Tower, STG will hold the inaugural “Tough Tower.” The event will bring together tower technicians as they compete in challenges such as climbing, installation and rescue.
It all feeds into a positive company culture that encourages grit and personal development while discouraging habits such as profanity and gossip, Jaskiewicz says.
STG Communications was founded in 2000.
The company employs more than 100 full-time team members.
