YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Strollo Architects – the region’s oldest, largest and most prolific firm – recently added several senior architects to its staff. Notable among them are Denise Holt, previously of the GPD Group, and Summer Barker, previously of the Youngstown State University facilities department.
Gregg Strollo, president, says 2022 was one of the best in the firm’s 67-year history.
Current projects include The Inn at Old Saybrook, (a senior living center in Columbiana), the Canfield Fair Event Center, an office expansion at Farmers Bank in Canfield, a jail for Wayne County in Wooster, a hospice center in Erie, Pa., an office building for Burgan Real Estate in Canfield, a stadium for McDonald Local Schools, the fieldhouse and bleachers at Austintown Local Schools, and a stadium in Columbiana.
Strollo Architects’ clients include many of the region’s most significant private and public institutions. Among them are Mercy Health, Briarfield, Omni Smart Living, Stambaugh Auditorium, YSU, Farmers National Bank, Austintown Local Schools, Columbiana Exempted Village School District, Heritage Manor, Ursuline High School, McDonald Local Schools, Premier Bank, Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, Alta Behavioral Healthcare, Compass Family and Community Services, Meridian Healthcare, Akron Children’s Hospital, Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery, and the cities of Warren and Youngstown.
Strollo Architects is a partner in Axiom Architects, a collaborative effort with BSHM and Phillips Sekanick Architects. Axiom is currently working on the Girard Performing Arts Center and projects at the Youngstown Business Incubator.
