YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The pandemic increased the need for mental health providers and Advanced Counseling Solutions has responded by adding a third location at 3974 Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield.
The new facility is the first in northeastern Ohio that applies a comprehensive approach to the overall well-being of individuals.
It joins Advanced Counseling Solutions locations at 5204 Mahoning Ave., Austintown; and 1025 Boardman Canfield Road, Boardman.
Advanced Counseling Solutions is a leading source in the Mahoning Valley for teaching traditional outpatient mental health to new clinicians, according to Dr. Joseph Marzano, president.
Traditional outpatient services and psychological education are also provided, including specialties such as medicine management, nutritional consultation, life coaching, sports performance counseling and corporate consultations.
“My new passion is to teach new clinicians how to break into the private arena and not only survive, but thrive,” says Marzano. “When people say it isn’t possible to deal with mental health without the stigma, I can tell you that it is very much so.”
At this phase of his career, Marzano says he has two primary goals.
The first is to provide clinically superior outpatient mental health.
His second goal is to support and develop quality professional clinicians that practice with methods that represent the field of counseling psychology well.
“In that, I hope to further take away the stigma of mental health for people who fear it because they have had or heard of bad experiences in their first attempts to get the help they need,” Marzano says.
Advanced Counseling Solutions is a private organization of 27 mental health providers.
Primary services focus on anxiety, depression, occupational stress management, adolescent development issues, sleep disorders, family and marriage counseling, relationship counseling, mediation and more.
