GIRARD – Sweet Memories Vintage Tees by New Dawn Design grew sharply last year and looks to build on its growth in 2022.
The company sells licensed apparel from Good Humor Ice Cream, which was founded in Youngstown in 1920, and other vintage brands.
A percentage of its sales benefits local charities, says Linda Barton, founder of the company.
Sweet Memories opened an industrial-style boutique at 1282 Trumbull Ave. The apparel line is sold on Amazon and at several local stores and events.
“We are just getting started,” Barton says. “Our licensing agreement was just for Good Humor. In 2021, we added 39 new licensing agreements and 68 new designs.”
