Murphy Business Sales Makes Deals Happen

Editor’s note: The Business Journal has learned that franchise owner Joe Wojtowicz died shortly after the publishing of this Growth Report 2 article. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends and business associates.
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Several commercial real estate transactions on hold because of the pandemic got back on track in 2021 and Murphy Business Sales was instrumental in making them happen.

The company’s Hudson office handled the sale and financing of The Hot Dog Shoppes in Warren and East Liverpool, as well as the JibJab restaurant in Girard, which was a 10-figure deal. The company also recently listed two local businesses for sale in the $1 million range and is working with several others at this time.

While Murphy Business Sales is relatively new to northeastern Ohio, the Florida-based company has been around since 1994. It is one of the largest and most successful business brokerage firms in North America with offices in 38 states and Canada.

The company helps business owners sell their businesses and also works with companies who want to buy an existing business. It provides industry expertise with both Main Street businesses (sales price under $3 million) and lower middle-market businesses.

The local franchise owner was Joe Wojtowicz, a business-commercial real estate consultant and certified mergers and acquisitions intermediary. Wojtowicz recently marked 49 years in the industry and specializes in business acquisition financing until his passing a few weeks ago.

Other members of the local team are Bill White, regional director; and Tom Kelly, commercial broker with Beau Quest Realty of Boardman.
