YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The team at Bistro 1907 by Mark Canzonetta is setting the bar high.
Revenue at the downtown Youngstown restaurant and bar continued to rise in 2021. The owner-chef Canzonetta credits his team for the growth.
Bistro 1907 has been faced with the staffing shortages plaguing the industry. Canzonetta says he is grateful for the team that has stuck with him through difficult times.
“We have done our best to maintain a level of quality and service that gets us incredibly kind reviews,” he says. “We wouldn’t be here today without our dedicated staff. Our business requires people who love what they do and they need to be reminded as to how rare and special that love for this industry can be.”
The restaurant employs more than 40.
Bistro 1907 has adapted to the unusual conditions as well as changing consumer preferences, according to Canzonetta.
“Being a destination dining experience, we need to draw people out of their comfort zone and entice them to try new things, he says.
The restaurant, he says, will continue to create gluten-free and vegan-friendly recipes that will be crowd-pleasing.
Bistro 1907 also has a catering and special events division, which it has maintained throughout the pandemic.
