YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – 2021 was another successful year for Lencyk Masonry Co. as it forged through the pandemic restrictions and unprecedented conditions. Like other companies, workforce remains Lencyk’s focus, says Angeline Lavorini, CFO.
“Despite continuing challenges with COVID-19, we maintained a solid workforce and kept them safe and productive,” she says. “We recognize that these men and women who have been working through these restrictions and conditions of the pandemic are why we were able to have another successful year.”
2021 brought the conclusion to Lencyk Masonry’s largest project, the Kenmore/Garfield High School in Akron. Other projects included libraries in Youngstown and Warren; wastewater treatment plants in Brookfield, Warren and East Palestine, and the Ultium Cells plant in Lordstown.
In 2022, Lencyk looks forward to a diverse range of new projects.
Among them are the PK-12 school in Wickliffe, the 7-12 school in Zoarville; expansions at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, Salem Regional Medical Center and Aultman Timken Family Cancer Center; as well as construction of the Penske-Akron truck store and work on the Ohio Turnpike.
“In 2022, we plan to continue to sponsor the Mahoning Valley Skilled Trades Expo, where high school students are introduced to the trades,” says Larry Lencyk Sr., president. “We are optimistic with the response we see from students.”
