YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Country Club has overcome multiple challenges since it opened more than 120 years ago. Despite the pandemic, the club’s pedigree and prestige flourished as it kept its members, guests and employees safe.
“As the club approaches its 125th anniversary, the Youngstown Country Club will continue to proudly hold the title of the dean of all clubs by being the premier destination for members, guests and families in the area,” says Joe LaRocca, director of membership relations.
Membership – both social and full golfing members – increased for the fifth consecutive year, according to LaRocca. The club also continued to provide elite customer service, catering and historic settings for private events in a safe environment
Last year, the club renovated the layout of its golf course, focusing on its greens and a new bunker project to revamp all sand traps. “These projects, along with the removal of a host of trees, enhanced the appearance and difficulty of the course, bringing challenges for players of all skill levels,” LaRocca says.
The club also offers the Mahoning Valley’s only skeet and trap shooting facilities.
