YOUNGSTOWN – The Shabby Chateau interior design firm spent most of 2021 assisting with the décor of the new Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
“Never would I have imagined that I would be devoting nearly the entire year to a 50,000-square-foot new building project,” says Jo Anne Brashen, owner. “This was any interior designer’s dream come true.”
Brashen’s firm guided paint color and flooring decisions, furniture purchases, design considerations, artwork, window treatments and accessories. The design decisions were made to fill residents of the shelter for the homeless with peace and hope for the future.
Shabby Chateau specializes in residential interior design and styling, staging, consulting, personal shopping and accessorizing.
Brashen started the business in 2018 after a 40-year career as a financial adviser.
