Work was completed in 2021 on two major buildings designed by Strollo Architects: Briarfield Place in Boardman and Campus Lofts in Youngstown.
Briarfield Place is a 53,000-square-foot skilled nursing and rehabilitation complex with beds for 58 patients. It’s located on Market Street near Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Hospital Boardman, where it provides smooth transitions for patients who need rehabilitation and long-term care, says Tina Santor, Strollo marketing coordinator.
Campus Lofts is a 190-bed student housing dorm at the intersection of Wick and Rayen avenues, near Youngstown State University. It offers one-, two-, three-, and four- bedroom suites.
Strollo Architects has several noteworthy projects in progress this year, including renovations and upgrades at Bridgestone-Firestone’s Akron campus. This project encompasses the tire testing laboratories, research labs, and a new test track., Santor says.
Other projects include Julia Hospice in Erie, Pa.; McDonald Schools athletics building; the Saybrook Township fire station; the Wayne County adult probation offices and law library; and the Wayne County Jail.
Strollo Architects hired three new team members in 2021, bringing its overall staff to 19.
