CTW Tees Off More Expansion

CANFIELD – CTW Development Corp. kept most of its sites operating as usual in 2020, albeit with a bit more distance than normal.

At Kennsington Golf Club, a new fleet of carts – bringing the total to 92 – meant each player was able to have his own cart on the course. Each cart was sanitized after it was used.

At Kennsington Grille, the use of the patio allowed patrons to dine in while staying socially distant. The restaurant also began free delivery in the spring and, more recently, started using DoorDash to deliver meals.

Meanwhile at Waypoint 4180, the size of the new venue allowed it to accommodate events with up to 300 people socially distanced.

CTW’s biggest accomplishment in 2020, says its president, Chuck Whitman, was the opening of a golf simulator lounge at Waypoint 4180.

Another accomplishment he cites is the Courtyard Marriott Canfield winning the hotel chain’s Diamond Circle Award for the third consecutive year.

This year, CTW plans to build new retail space at U.S. Route 224 and Raccoon Road, Whitman says.

The Westford Lifestyle Community will expand with construction of an assisted living complex, he adds. And 21 residential lots are set to open in 2021, following the 18 that opened last year.
