Houck PR Agency Sees Return of Optimism

YOUNGSTOWN –  Public relations and content marketing firm Houck Agency weathered 2020 and is poised to resume growth mode in 2021.

“The pandemic caused a temporary slowdown at its onset as uncertainty loomed about the economy and clients shifted to protection mode for the health and safety of their workforces,” says Jim Houck, president.

Most client budgets were trimmed or frozen altogether for a stretch, he says. The organization lost an employee because of a downturn in work.

“By the fourth quarter I started hearing back from virtually everybody and our client programs started coming back,” Houck says. “Not only that, but optimism reigned for 2021 and we started seeing an uptick in new work as well, from both new and existing clients.
