Millwood Makes the Transition to COVID Protocols

VIENNA – Millwood Inc. added new employees in several departments, including seven in sales, in 2020.

The company also developed and adapted COVID-19 protocols to keep employees and customers safe during the pandemic, according to Josh Stipanovich, marketing specialist.

Safety Manager Mondell Elliott and his team learned the guidelines for the 11 states that have Millwood facilities. “Thanks to the help from our IT department, even the company’s largest departments (sales and accounting) were equipped to work fully remote with zero downtime,” he says.

“I’m grateful for the hard work of our team to ensure a smooth transition from working in the office to remotely,” adds Tim Light, director of IT.

The morale team, which creates fun and unique internal programs, presented several virtual events. These included Dog Day, in which employees bring their dogs to work; the Thankfulness Project, in which workers wrote anonymous notes of support to each other; and holiday programs.

Instead of sending Millwood employees’ children to summer camps in 2020, a virtual program was created in which participants earned badges by completing projects.

Millwood team members also purchased Christmas gifts for several local organizations that assist needy Mahoning Valley families.Millwood Inc. produces unit load and packaging systems, materials and services and is a leading supplier of new, used and reconditioned pallets.
