YOUNGSTOWN – To ensure that small businesses got all the help they needed in the midst of the pandemic, the Economic Action Group completed nearly 5,000 calls and sent 700 emails and 2,000 Facebook messages to company owners on pandemic relief.
Of the 1,500 businesses in Youngstown and Warren called by Economic Action Group, reports project manager Nick Chretien, 350 businesses applied for Paycheck Protection Program loans. These companies and organizations received a combined $82.7 million and protected 8,500 jobs.
