YOUNGSTOWN – Easterseals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties is marking its 70th anniversary this year.
Last year, the agency – which serves people with disabilities, children, veterans, seniors and their families – adapted its services to meet pandemic guidelines. Daily home-delivered meals shifted to a no-contact format and increased by 45% to 1,025 seniors, according to Maureen Pusch, CEO.
Transportation services were expanded into Trumbull County.
Easterseals’ Community Center for the Deaf transitioned most services to videophone or a virtual platform. And clients in outpatient therapy were given the option of in-person or virtual visits.
