HERMITAGE, Pa. – OhanaLink Technologies forecasts more growth in 2021 as the mobile app development company expands its service offerings.
The company is the brainchild of CEO Kara Wasser, who saw the need for patients to find a better way to connect with families during health care events.
In 2020, the company launched OhanaLink, a mobile technology app designed to connect patients with family and friends when experiencing health-related events. Through the app, users preselect their own groups, placing them in virtual waiting rooms where they can deliver messages, updates, reports and images, all in real time.
The team also launched a second app, OhanaLink at Work, an employer-sponsored subscription service. It includes three waiting rooms: OhanaLink Baby, OhanaLink Health Kids and OhanaLink Health for adults.
Over the past year, Wasser has hired more than a dozen people from the area to run product and business development, finance, sales and marketing.
“Ohana is Hawaiian for family. So bringing on board local talent to connect family and friends through this technology makes perfect sense,” she says.
