AUSTINTOWN – The “well-timed opening” of On Demand Immediate Care helped the On Demand Companies rapidly adjust to the new realities of providing health care during the pandemic, co-owner Tom Ivany says.
The walk-in clinic in Austintown was able to meet the sudden increase in demand for health care services. On Demand developed a safe sign-in system for patients coming in for testing and offers on-site rapid COVID-19 testing and tests sent out to labs.
“We now view ourselves as a one-stop shop for health care. Patients can receive an exam with one of our medical professionals, get an X-ray and then fill their prescription at our pharmacy, all without leaving our building,” Ivany says.
New Day Recovery opened a female-only inpatient center along U.S. Route 224 in Boardman.
“On Demand Occupational Medicine extended its hours and began offering on-site medical services to companies and employees in need of injury care,” Ivany says.
On Demand Companies, founded in 2007 and based in Austintown, consists of five operating units: On Demand Immediate Care, On Demand Occupational Medicine, On Demand Counseling, New Day Recovery and On Demand Staffing Services, which completed its first year in business.
In addition to opening a site in Newton Falls, On Demand Counseling hosted drive-thru resource fairs in East Liverpool, Salem and Lisbon, providing information on mental health and recovery resources, as well as essential items, to more than 300 families. And the company served more than 400 meals at free spaghetti dinners in Niles and East Liverpool.
“These community-focused initiatives are a driving force for our companies and we will increase these efforts in 2021,” Ivany says.
