BOARDMAN – As many employees worked from home amid the pandemic, companies had to find ways to keep their teams on task while maintaining the security of their data.
Valley Office and Peak I.T. helped many make the transition.
While equipment sales, such as copiers, and I.T. services were up 27% and 37%, respectively, it’s the companies’ phone service sales numbers that tell the greatest tale, says Bryan Blakeman, general manager.
Valley Office Solutions’ Voice Over I.P. telephone systems gave confidence to those who found themselves working from remote locations. This business saw an increase of over 330% as it ensured dependable phone, teleconferencing and instant messaging, and kept systems online during outages. Valley Office saw a 600% increase in phone-related services as well.
The COVID-19 pandemic also spawned a spike in malware and phishing activity. Peak I.T. prevented more than one million cyberattacks and allowed zero breaches for their customers, Blakeman says.
