AUSTINTOWN – Valor Recovery Center of Youngstown expanded its use of telehealth services in 2020 and added an isolation unit for residents who showed symptoms of the coronavirus.
The behavioral health center, 45 N. Canfield-Niles Road, added a secure COVID-19 testing site for staff, clients and prospective clients. Testing is required before admission. Test results are available online within 24 hours.
This year, Valor plans to introduce hybrid programming that combines telehealth and in-person services, says Audrey Novotny, operations director.
Opened in 2018, Valor operates a 33-bed behavioral health center offering in-patient, outpatient, partial hospitalization and medication assisted treatments. Programming includes individual, group and family counseling, as well as fitness, holistic wellness, and case management services.
